Signs of Remembrance

Monuments need context and public discourse.

My bachelor project takes a playful approach to making background information about monuments experienceable in a more inviting and educational way. For this, one can gather Zurich monuments as so-called „Collectables“ to complete one’s own monument index while simultaneously learning about our local history. By functioning as a discussion platform, the app promotes public discourse around these „signs of remembrance“. The project also ventures a glimpse into a possible future of monument culture and explores what it could look like in a more interactive and transparent way.
